Mr. Owens and I have been married for more than 20 years. We have two children - Ryan and Jasmine. I also have 4 stepchildren and 3 grandkids.
I have taught for more than 25 years in Alabama and Mississippi. More than half of my teaching career has been in third grade right here at my favorite school - Bay Minette Elementary. I have taught kindergarten, 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades. My favorite thing to do is to is to have fun with my family! Other favorite activities including READING, boating, and playing on the computer.
I love being a teacher! Along with teaching the educational standards my goals also include helping children to become more responsible for their own learning, behaviors, and choices. I believe in natural consequences and holding children accountable. I feel that this helps children grow into responsible adults.
